Why BECU?
BECU has been in the business of helping families in the community for over 50 years. l We have a solid history of competitive loan rates and deposit rates. l All earnings are given back to the membership, which means that as we’ve grown through the years, we have helped more and more people become financially independent. l All credit unions aim to do these things, but BECU does it exceptionally well. Just ask any member and they will tell you that BECU is the best place to keep your savings, and often the smartest place to get a loan. l By offering BECU membership in your benefits package, you’ll be giving your employees and their families something they can’t get at any bank - ownership of a financial institution that only exists to increase their wealth and knowledge.

Q: Will my employees really use this service? A: Yes. At every Partner Company that we work with, at least 10% of the employees immediately take advantage of their new benefit and open an account. As time goes on, more an more employees will use the benefit. Some of our Partner Companies have 100% participation, and some have just 10%. No matter how many or how few of your employees choose to join, whoever does join will be a happier employee and will be grateful you gave them the option of being a member.
Q: Why doesn't BECU just open eligibility to the whole community like some credit unions do? A: By only allowing people who work for certain companies (and their family members) join, BECU is taking on less risk, and can therefore offer better loan and deposit rates. BECU has an exceptionally low default rate because we know who our members are. That means your deposits are safely invested, and your loans have better rates.
